Victory Mode is on for our Varsity Soccer!

Spring has arrived, and with it comes a renewed energy surrounding the Camden Military Academy soccer program. The Spartans have opened the season with confidence and enthusiasm, jumping out to an impressive 2–0 start that has set the tone for what promises to be an exciting campaign.

Camden Military has wasted little time making a statement on the field. In their season opener, the Spartans delivered a dominant 10–0 victory over Northside Christian, showcasing their offensive firepower and depth. The momentum continued in their next match as Camden Military earned a 4–0 win against SCHSL opponent North Central, demonstrating not only scoring ability but also a disciplined and organized defensive effort.

One of the most exciting aspects of this year’s team is the blend of talented newcomers and experienced returning players.

Among the fresh faces making an immediate impact is Border Seever, who controls the midfield with composure and vision. Seever’s ability to distribute the ball and connect the attack has helped establish the rhythm of Camden Military’s offense early in the season.

On the defensive end, Moxley Judy has emerged as a key anchor for the Spartans. Working alongside teammates Connor Gibson and returning defender Job Fitzpatrick, Judy helps form a defensive unit that has yet to allow a goal through the first two games. Their communication, positioning, and physical play have made it extremely difficult for opponents to generate quality chances.

In the attacking third, Gabrielle Maldanado has quickly become a fan favorite. Maldanado possesses an incredible touch on the ball and has shown a remarkable ability to maneuver through defenders.

The Spartans are also benefiting from the leadership and experience of several key returners. William Wenger, Jayden Halim, and Memphis Sweeney provide stability and depth to the roster. Sweeney, in particular, has embraced the role of steady and reliable substitute, bringing energy and composure whenever he enters the match.

Guiding this group is the coaching duo of Co–Head Coach Welfare Wang and coach Eric Leagones, who have emphasized discipline, teamwork, and relentless effort. With two convincing victories to begin the season, Camden Military Soccer is building momentum.

As the spring season continues, the Spartans look poised to keep pushing forward, combining fresh talent, experienced leadership, and a shared goal. If the first two games are any indication, Camden Military Soccer is off to an exciting start.
