Camden Military Academy recently became aware of a serious allegation involving two
of our cadets. As soon as this concern was brought to our attention, the academy
promptly reported it to the appropriate law enforcement authorities and has been
cooperating fully with their ongoing investigation.
The safety, wellbeing, and dignity of every cadet are of paramount importance to
Camden Military Academy. Our hearts are with the student and family directly affected
by this situation, as well as with the broader corps of cadets and their families. We are
committed to working closely with our students and their families to ensure they have
the support, information, and resources they need during this time.
Camden Military Academy maintains well established policies, procedures, and
supervision practices that are designed to help prevent misconduct and to ensure that
any concerns are reported and addressed without delay. In addition to cooperating with
law enforcement, the academy is conducting its own internal investigation consistent
with those policies. If that review identifies areas where our procedures or practices can
be strengthened, we will act on those findings.
Because this matter involves minors and an active investigation, we are limited in the
specific details we can share. However, our commitment to our cadets’ safety and to a
respectful, disciplined learning environment is unwavering, and we will continue to
communicate, as appropriate, with our students, families, and staff, while protecting the
privacy of those involved.
