This weekend we took middle school students to attend the FCA Jr. High Retreat in Garden City, South Carolina. This year, the the message focused on moving from being spiritually empty to overflowing with the Spirit of God. The speaker, Pastor Holden of New Spring Church, talked to the students about what life is like being filled with God’s presence as opposed to be filled with the things of the world. Using water, he talked about how natural water satisfies our thirst for a moment but we continue to get thirsty but when we are filled with God’s spiritual water, the Living Water, He keeps us satisfied when we continually stay connected to Him. Our students embraced the message and related to it. The students had a great time participating in the games as well as the small group discussions. We received excellent feedback about our students stating that they were very engaging and respectful!
