Camden Military Academy celebrated MLK Day on campus in our chapel with a guest speaker on Monday. Our Keynote speaker was Mr. James Felder of Columbia, South Carolina. Mr. Felder is a veteran of the U.S. Army. After his time in the military, he dedicated his life to working for Civil Rights. He has authored several books, to include one entitled, “I Buried JFK.” During his speech, he talked about his time in the military and most notably serving as a pallets bearer for the late president, John F. Kennedy as a member of the prestigious Honor Guard. After his speech, he fielded several questions from our students and staff and spoke with them one on one. We would like to extend a big Thank You to Mr. Felder for coming to speak to our young men.
