At Camden Military, faith is not confined to Sunday mornings or chapel services, it is a living, active part of the cadet experience. This includes our off-campus Wednesday night church program, where cadets have the opportunity to connect with other teenagers in a welcoming, faith-based environment.
Each Wednesday evening, our Chaplain, Timothy Hunter, takes a group of cadets off campus to participate in a local church youth service. This midweek gathering allows our young men to step outside the routine of campus life and engage with peers from the surrounding community. It is a powerful reminder that faith connects them to something larger than themselves.
The evenings are filled with energy and purpose. Cadets participate in games and fellowship activities that naturally break down barriers and build friendships. They worship together through music and prayer, and they engage in meaningful discussions centered on Biblical truth and real-life application. These shared experiences allow our cadets to find common ground with other teens who are navigating similar challenges and seeking similar growth in their spiritual lives.
For many of our young men, Wednesday nights become a highlight of the week. In a world that often pulls teenagers in countless directions, this time provides clarity, encouragement, and connection. It reinforces values such as integrity, accountability, humility, and servant leadership, principles that align directly with the mission of Camden Military Academy.
We encourage our cadets to become as involved as they would like in faith-based activities. Whether through on-campus chapel services, Bible studies, or off-campus youth group gatherings, students have opportunities to deepen their faith journey at their own pace.
