CMA and VMI Partnership

Camden Military Academy’s headmaster, Col. Eric Boland, recently signed an agreement with Major General Wins, the superintendent of the Virginia Military Institute, which would grant guaranteed admissions to VMI upon successful completion of CMA. General Wins briefly addressed the Camden Corps of Cadets during his visit on March 13.

Retired Major General Cedric T. Wins is the 15th Superintendent of the Virginia Military Institute (VMI). A VMI alumnus, he graduated in 1985 with a degree in Economics and earned distinction as a standout basketball player. With a 34-year career in the U.S. Army, Major General Wins held key leadership roles, including Commanding General of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC) and Commander of the Research, Development, and Engineering Command (RDECOM). His service included significant deployments and staff positions across the Army, Joint Forces, and the Pentagon. He holds advanced degrees in management and national security and is a graduate of the National War College. A decorated officer, his awards include the Distinguished Service Medal and the Bronze Star Medal. As VMI’s Superintendent, he is committed to developing future leaders through his extensive military experience and strategic vision.
