Civil Air Patrol

I’m amazed at the excitement and number of cadets that have shown interest in joining CAP, our nation’s auxiliary branch of the Air Force. We’ve already hit the ground running, literally, with our first PT test which is one of the requirements to join CAP. Our cadets have shown improvements from last year to this year and for those that are new, they too have shown much promise. With the impact felt by Hurricane Helene, our squadron is currently on standby to see if we will be called upon to assist in any way whether that means assessing damage, water levels or assisting with lost individuals. As always, we will continue to train in order to be of service to our state and nation!
We look forward to what this year will bring as we prepare for the many gatherings and training that we will be conducting. From hangar parties to Ranger Training Weekend, it looks like it will be a full year.
