CAP goes Indoor Skydiving!

This weekend our Civil Air Patrol group got to go indoor skydiving at the iFly Center. I was pretty nervous and scared at the beginning because I have never been skydiving before, it was definitely nerve racking. When we first arrived the workers took our weight and our height measurements, they told us your weight and height is very crucial to be able to fly safely and have balanced air waves. The guide showed us all the science behind flying, and how different factors such as drag and gravity affected how we would fly in the tube. The guide gave us a flight suit and a short briefing on what we needed to do once we were in the flight tube. When it was my turn to fly in the tube the guide held on to me and helped balance my body so I wouldn’t fly into the glass. It was an amazing experience and I might even try real skydiving one day in the future!
