Camdenmilitary Crest Josten Color1

On Tuesday morning, seniors will load up with Lt Col Heflin, Dean of Students, and head to Charleston to check out The Citadel. Each year, we have approximately a dozen cadets choose to continue the military schooling life and attend The Citadel. On this trip to tour the campus of The Citadel, as well as tour the beautiful city of Charleston, the Seniors have a great opportunity to decided if this is where they want to spend the next four years of their lives. This is a very popular, enjoyable, and informative trip for our Seniors.

On Wednesday, we have ASVAB testing. The ASVAB is a multiple-aptitude battery that measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success in the military. It is administered annually to more than one million military applicants, high school, and post-secondary students. The content of the subtests includes: general science, arithmetic reasoning, word knowledge, paragraph comprehension, mathematics knowledge, electronics information, auto and shop information, mechanical comprehension, and assembling objects.

On Thursday, more testing...SAT/ACT Workshop will be held in the library at 8:30am.

On Friday, the CMA Marching Band will travel to Midway Elementary School for a performance from 1:00-2:15. Also, some cadets will travel to Whiteville, NC for the annual Pecan Festival.

On Saturday, there is another SMI (Saturday Morning Inspection). There will also be aCAdet Dress Parade at 1:30 as a part of the fesitivities for HOMECOMING WEEKEND! At 2:30pm, the CMA Spartans will be taking on Rabun Gap for our BIG HOMECOMING GAME!!! All current faculty members, current cadets, former cadets, alumni, anyone who is a part of the CMA family (as well as everyone in the community) is "officially invited" and encouraged to attend. It will be an awesome HOMECOMING weekend! You wont want to miss the dress parade, the football game, the meal afterwards, and all the other festivities!

On Sunday, Chaplain Walker will be delivering the weekly Sunday chapel message. Also, cadets that are in good standing and who have signed up for the CAROLINA PANTHERS football game, will load up and head for Charlotte to attend an NFL match-up between the Carolina Panthers and the Atlanta FAlcons.
