With this years spring sports underway, let take a look at what our head coach, Griff Beckham, is looking at for the upcoming season...
Baseball season is underway for the Spartans. With this years squad returning 6 starters from last year's team, we are looking for a competitive team this year. So far in the preseason the players are throwing, fielding, hitting and conditioning to get ready for the upcoming season. This year's team looks to have grade levels from 8th to 12th graders. It will be a good mix of players to compete for the starting spots. The Spartans first game is at Northside Christian on February 25th at 6:00pm (4347 Sunset Blvd, Lexington, SC 29072
Here is what Cadet Brice Griffin thinks about the upcoming season as well...
Baseball season is just starting up here at CMA. We’re starting with conditioning to get back into the groove of things. Soon we’ll be having a field cleanup day so that we can prepare the fields for the upcoming season. A lot of new cadets are coming out to play this year which is always great for the team. We have five cadets returning for their senior year to play, along with some returning juniors and sophomores. I feel that we will be a great team because of all of the returning players. It will be nice to have a team having the connected feeling that the great teams out there have. Which for CMA, it’s a little harder to have good chemistry since we have so many kids who come and go throughout the years. This year we were blessed to receive brand new game uniforms and are very excited to get them as dirty as possible by the end. As long as each player gives their 110% in games and practices I believe that we will have a very promising season. Go Spartans!
We look forward to cheering you all on this season! Lets go SPARTANS!
