The CMA Baseball team has started practicing for the upcoming season. Coach Beckham has been working hard with the players on understanding fundamentals, and overall approach to the game.

With 23 players out so far for both Varsity and Junior Varsity, the coaches expect that a few more will trickle in once winter sports are over. Coach Beckham is really optimistic about the upcoming season.

"The players we have had out so far are really putting in a lot of hard work. Some of the guys are behind in their skills and understanding of the game, so as coaches we felt like that we needed to work hard on those at the start of practice. Hopefully, that will translate into some solid fundamentals for the season." said Coach Beckham.

The Spartan's first game is February 27 at North Central High School in a preseason tournament, which the Spartans won last year.
