We had a great Scout outing during the weekend15-17 November 2013. Troop 38 stayed at the McLean farm in Blythewood SC. The scouts had the usual campfire both nights, and good food was cooked for all. Cadet Lachlan Burke grew up on this property, so he showed the other scouts the fine parts of the property including the fishing spots and trails. Cadet Burke's grandfather owns and showed to the group a restored 1942 Ford Jeep. The kids got a real history lesson, as well a rides in this artifact! Mrs. Simonson also stopped by, along with the scoutmaster's youngest daughter to say hello for Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Simonson is in the picture with two women, along with Lachlan's mom. On the way back to the school on Sunday, we stopped by his Eagle Project. That's him posing at the reconstructed split-rail fence at the Fine Arts Center.
