Scholar athlete of the week - Justin Wilson
By: Casey Robinson on Oct 31, 2019 | Categories: General, Athletics, Academic

Throughout this Friday Night Rivals season, Carolina Gold Construction recognizes an exceptional student athlete from each participating school with a plaque presentation prior to each game.
Although the outcome of the game wasn't what we hoped, we did have some great news come out of the football game Friday night. Our very own, Justin Wilson, Battalion Commander, received the Scholar Athlete of the Week. This is an award given to an athlete who excels on and off the field.
Wilson is the football captain for the Spartans and was the most valuable offensive back in 2018.
At Camden Military he is the youngest Battalion Commander in Camden Military Academy history and has received a number of leadership and conduct awards all while maintaining a 4.39 GPA. In the community Wilson volunteers with Special Olympics, Key Club and food drives.
These students are also eligible to win a $5,000 scholarship to be presented at the end of the season courtesy of Carolina Gold Construction. Carolina Gold Construction is proud to support and encourage exceptional student athletes across the Midlands. Congratulations, Justin!
