Here we have Biology students looking at samples of flowering plants. Using their knowledge and notebooks, they have to decide if a particular sample is a monocot or dicot plant. Monocots differ from dicots in four distinct structural features: leaves, stems, roots and flowers. But, the differences start from the very beginning of the plant's life cycle: the seed. This lab was performed for all Biology classes just prior to spring break. Dissections are coming soon for the Bio kids!
