The responsibilities of a platoon leader at CMA mainly focuses on the well-being of the cadets in your platoon. The majority of your non-class time, and energy, goes directly to your platoon. The platoon is your main priority after the completion of your academics. Your platoon is your family.

I am responsible for their general well-being, military bearing, appearance, discipline, and the accomplishment of their academic responsibilities. I am accompanied in my responsibility by a platoon sergeant, typically a junior year cadet nco, who assists me in the management and running of my platoon. Throughout the year, we are responsible for an average of around 30 cadets, grades 7-12.

I believe it is the most fulfilling of the officer ranks, as I get to directly interact with and have an impact on my cadets on a daily basis. I am proud to be in charge of such an inspiring and ambitious group of cadets for this 2020-2021 school year. I am looking forward to watching them achieve success, not just in academics, but in the process of becoming a hardworking, mature, respected group of young men.
