Meet our new Teacher / Offensive Line Coach

Coach W. Scott Jones has served in various public and private schools in South Carolina during his thirty plus years in education. A former Social Studies Teacher of the Year, Coach Jones has also been blessed to serve as the Athletic Director and Head Football Coach at Lugoff-Elgin High School where he retired in 2014. He then became the Athletic Director at Ben Lippen School in Columbia where he also coached football before retiring in 2018. For the past three years, he has served as an assistant football coach at Sumter High School. Selected to coach in the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas in 2010, Coach Jones has been fortunate to be a part of many championship teams along with many great players and wonderful coaches. Born in Alapaha, Georgia, Coach Jones grew up in a rural area near Sumter, South Carolina. He attended North Greenville College where he played college baseball. He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina. He has published two novels. A Storm in the Carolinas (2021) andThe Treasures of a Carolina Summer (2022). He has been married to his wife, Bridget, since 1990. They have been blessed with three grown children.
