On Saturday, January 16, the Kershaw County Robotics Team participated in a FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Technology Challenge (FTC) scrimmage held at the Governor's School of Science and Mathematics in Hartsville, SC.  Cadet Giovanni Fortezzo was captain for the team during the scrimmage. Cadet Stefon Aaron helped configure and modify the robot as problems arose.  Other team members from Camden Military Academy who attended the scrimmage were Cadet David Gore, Cadet Luke Gagliardo, and Cadet James Blair.  CMA did very well and helped score points for the team, which is comprised of students from schools throughout Kershaw County. The KC Robotics Team is looking forward to the next event, the South Carolina FTC Competition held in Gaffney, SC on January 30th, where they will compete against teams from across South Carolina.
