Players Daniel Carter, Davis Long, Aiden Haase, Kevon Agard, Sam Lawing, Michael Hanlon, Dylan Brashears, Austin Salters, Gavin Dunn, and Jose Justiniano have all improved their skills and knowledge of basketball. They give 100 percent effort in practice and games.

The team played Heathwood Hall on Wednesday, January 13th. The game was close, until some key players fouled out of the game. Coach Beckham was proud of how every one played.

On Saturday, January 16, the Spartans played Timmerman School. The Spartans came out firing on all cylinders without two starters. "I thought our guys competed well and played really hard," Coach Beckham said. " We had some guys step up and knock out some 3 pointers that helped us take the lead at the end of the first quarter."

With the game tied at 11 at the half, Timmerman School buckled down and took the lead. "With our point guard out, they put some pressure on us that we weren't able to handle," Coach Beckham said. "Our guys stepped up and played hard, but we just ran out of gas and missed some open opportunities."

The Jr. High Spartan Basketball team has several games left. The next one is at Heathwood Hall, Tuesday, January 19th.
