It's Not Over Till Is Over....

When soccer players are being taught the basics of the game as youngsters, one of the key messages is to play until the final whistle. If your team goes a couple of goals down, more often than not, the result will not be in your favor, but sometimes the spectacular can happen. "Guys we can turn this around and we are sure we are going to do it. Keep working hard, fight every ball as it is the last one. Let's win this game".That was Coach Ferjani's and Coach Ararat's message at half time after a very well played first 30 minutes of the game, but a header right in front of the JV Spartans goal left CMA with a 1-0 ; and again, 10 minutes into the second half, after one of Cheraw HS Braves Midfielders went through our defense and scored on us us to make it 2-0.

Despite the temporary loss, JV Spartans kept fighting and attacking, and that is how we got our first reward when a left foot cross made by Caleb Brady ended up in Cheraw Braves scoring an own goal. Spartans took advantage of their momentum and converted a PK to equalize the game. This second goal gave us the morale and the confidence to go for more, and that's exactly what Robbie Pierce and Jacob McGuire did by scoring 2 more goals. The final score was JV Spartans 4- Cheraw Braves 2. What a comeback!
