Hurricane Florence Update #4

Unpredictable Hurricane Florence has weakened!! The storm has been downgraded and now our area is only expecting windy conditions and rain.

The furlough scheduled for this weekend is NOT cancelled. Students are dismissed at lunch on Friday.

For those cadets unable to leave this weekend, an additional furlough has been added for next weekend. However, a cadet cannot leave campus for both furloughs. Each cadet is granted only one of the weekends as a furlough.

If you were planning to pick up your son for furlough this weekend, we are allowing early pick up due to possible deteriorating weather conditions. Please contact your son’s TAC officer regarding a pick-up time.

For those cadets remaining on campus, we have an ample supply of food and water. In the unlikely event of a power outage, we have generators to provide lights in the barracks. Also, our normal water supply is separate from the electricity. Staff will be present in each barracks supervising the cadets.
