Our Spartans took to the field in the first home game of the season on Friday against Porter-Gaud school. This would mark the first football game of the season and the first game played with CMA being apart of SCISA (South Carolina Independent School's Association). Our players knew they would be facing a strong team right out of the gate. "I know that our athletes have been looking forward to this first game, even knowing that it would be a tough season starter. I know that the coaches and players alike have been putting in a lot of time and effort both on and off the field to prep for this first game" - Eric Leagones (Assistant AD & Football Coach). Although our Spartans did not pull off a win, they fought hard and were able to put a touchdown on the scoreboard. "I feel like everything is a learning experience, and that's exactly what this game was to me, I will learn from it and be ready for the next one. I am always proud of the team." - Cohen Thompson (QB). Spartans will travel to take on the Hickory Hawks for their next game.
