Excalibur Society

The Excalibur Society gathering is an event that is held once a year. This event is a celebration of the academy and all donors of a certain giving level are invited. To begin the evening, the color guard will post the academy flags and the American Flag At this event, cadets participate by valet parking cars and escorting ladies into the venue. After a gourmet dinner, the jazz band performs as well as the drum and fife corps. The capstone of the evening is when the Battalion Commander makes a speech about his time at CMA and the changes that he has seen in himself while at the academy. The gathering brings awareness of the need to give and donate to CMA so that the academy can provide scholarships to cadets and allow those cadets the opportunity to attend who otherwise would be unable. During my time at CMA, I have participated in this event twice, once as a part of the color guard and the second time as valet. We are looking forward to this year’s Excalibur Society gathering on Friday, March 6th.
