Here are some pictures from the Eagle Court event at the Historic Camden Revolutionary War Site, May 8, 2021. It was held at 2:00pm, in the Kershaw-Cornwallis house. Celebrated for their efforts were Nathan Campbell, Brian Commisso, Will Laidlaw, Brodey Lane, and Will Pitt, Nate Campell's project involved 185 hours of painting furniture for the Historic park. Brian Commisso built furniture and wood duck boxes for a new riverfront park for the City of Camden. Will Laidlaw led the charge building shelving furniture for our band director, Robert Slade, Brodey Lane had built signs and outdoor benches for the Historic park, and Will Pitt led the way building bat boxes for the historical park. All these projects benefited the recipients. For the Camden area parks it meant more new seating for the tens of thousands of visitors to the local parks each year, natural pest control so that the tourists, school children, and local citizens have a less troublesome visit, and homes for an important bird species. Not pictured is Angus Curry, who had to leave with his family early. He also built furniture for the Historic Camden Revolutionary War Site (Historic Park). All these young men did a great job in spite of COVID lockdowns. I would like to thank Deborah Hartley, Christine Simonson, Scott Simpson, and Brandee Young for keeping the scoutmaster (Greg Simonson) straight through these difficult times!
