The drill team is a group of cadets who are dedicated to perfecting drill movements. Once these cadets have learned the movements they go to drill competitions. Regulation Drill and Exhibition Drill teams are different in many ways. One example is that there are few rules in exhibition drill however in regulation drill there are many guidelines and standards that you must follow. While many times the teams are separate that is not always the case, for example, the CMA Blackjacks. The blackjacks are a combined regulation and exhibition drill team and were once the best in the nation. The Blackjacks are named after “Blackjack” Pershing, a general from WWI. The Blackjacks are not only at Camden however, the team name of “Blackjacks” is shared across the United States.
