Drama at CMA!

Camden Military Academy’s Drama Department has been full of excitement this year!  In class, cadets have been working on their scripts for the upcoming “bullying play”, as well as Edgar Allen Poe’s The Tell-Tale Heart. The “bullying play” will focus on how bullying affects students everyday, and how everyone can do his part to prevent bullying.   The horror play, The Tell-Tale Heart, will be a presentation to the school near Halloween. Cadets have also started work on the Christmas Play for this year.

Not only has drama been held here at the academy but also at the Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County located in Camden. Thanks to director, Ms. Steele, classes have been action packed and entertaining for all students. Cadets Betti, Johnson, Asef, and Lascell have all been chosen to take part in the Fine Arts Centers performance of William Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Nights Dream”.   Ms. Steele has been coming in regularly giving advice to aspiring actors right here at the academy. The play will be held at the Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County from Thursday, October 16th to Sunday, October 19th.
