The Camden Military Academy Blackjack Drill Team is a nationally recognized high school organization, the “Little Brother,” under the umbrella of the Pershing Rifles Fraternity at the college level. We participate and perform in events and competitions in both the Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (JROTC) and Pershing Rifles.

The Blackjacks have conducted several exhibition events throughout South Carolina during the last school year. They have also competed at the National Competition (NATCON) level at a Pershing Rifles event in March of 2015 in Richmond, VA. This was the first time competing at this level and the team won nine trophies including the national title. This year the Blackjacks have competed in two JROTC events.

The first competition was held at Camden Military Academy on September 19, 2015 and won a fourth place trophy for the Color Guard event out of twelve of schools. The second competition was held at Lugoff-Elgin High School on October 31, 2015 in which the Blackjacks won a second place trophy for the Color Guard event and a third place trophy for the Squad Armed Regulation event.

Our next event is an exhibition demonstration during the Camden Christmas Parade on December 12, 2015.
