Along with young people from across the county, CMA band members entertained the audience with their musical talents. The band’s performance of “God Bless the USA” included vocalist Cadet Jaylen Evans. Spartan Sound, a band of CMA cadets, performed New Orleans jazz pieces,“The Movement” and “Crescent City”. Members of Spartan Sound are Kurosh Badii (clarinet), Jaylen Evans (trumpet and voice), Patrick Brooks, Dorian Melinsky (trumpet); George Spiros, Calvin Wu, William Larsen (trombone), Austin Oliver (tuba); David Vargo (sousaphone); Brian Kluppel (drums). In addition, “Yankee Doodle” was played by the Camden Military Drum & Fife Corps, which includes Cadets James Blair, Sebastian Gillaspy, Blaine McBee, Michael Suggs (fife); Noah Coolong, Brian Kluppel (drum).
