CMA Tennis Report

The CMA Tennis Team played a shorter season in 2021 because of COVID-19. We had one of the best seasons of my coaching career! We went 7-2 as a team. All ten of our players finished the season with a winning record individually. We had great victories over Hammond twice this year, a school traditionally considered a SCISA powerhouse in tennis. Our players were congratulated by competing coaches on their ability and sportsmanship all season. Our number one, Brodey Lane, finished the season with a record of 10-3 (the second best #1 record I’ve seen in my career as a coach). Isaac Berman finished the season with a record of 6-5 (#2 is the toughest position on the team to play). Oscar Bernard finished the season with a record of 8-3 playing number 3. Domenic Mancuso finished with a record of 10-2 at four. Mancuso only lost to CHS all season. Cole Juliano and Brian Branch finished 12-1 and 10-1 in their first season of tennis ever. My other players outside the top six all finished with winning records for the season and played notably well. We look forward to next season with all of our players returning!
