CMA has a bagpiper, and he's REALLY GOOD!

Cadet Ritchie is from Vero Beach, FL and plays a really good bagpipe. He began piping when he was 9 years old and is a member of the Vero Beach Pipes and Drums. Each summer he attends the North American Academy of Piping and Drumming and competes individually in the Eastern United States Pipe Band Association.

The sound of the bagpipe blends really well with the sound of the marching band but the instrument doesn’t always play well with others. The bagpipe is limited in the amount of notes it can play, so only certain songs and tunes work well. Tune in to one of the dress parades and you should hear Cadet Ritchie play the famous Scotland the Brave with marching band accompaniment.
