Chemistry Class Update

Having completed all of the preliminary material, such as scientific notation, international standards, and properties of substances and mixtures, we are well into the structure of atoms. Subatomic particles and numbers and radiation particles and energy are considerably more interesting and have the students more attentive.

Students regularly go to the white boards to show their work and answers. This keeps all the students on their toes and more engaged. They also take pride in their work.

We will get into serious material, such as reactions, in the second semester.
