Celebrating Autumn

In recognition of this week’s autumnal festivals, Mr. Marsden’s seventh grade Lit-7 class will receive a nutritious, tasty fall food treat on All Saints’ Day, November 1st. Said treat will consist of the following dried fruits, nuts, and seeds selected to represent the harvest season in all its glory:

•Fruits - apple, apricot, banana, cherry, mango, pineapple, plantain, plum, raisin, sultana
•Nuts - almond (raw and tasted/ sea salted), pistachio (but only a few since they cost darn near a pension), and walnut
•Seeds- pumpkin and sunflower (shelled, toasted, lightly salted)

Hopefully, no parents or guardians have a problem with this selection of treats over a bag full of Halloween candy. Otherwise, just vote “BOO!”

Happy Harvest Season!
