Basketball Season is quickly approaching!

On a recent Saturday, at the invitation of the UNC-Charlotte (UNCC) coaching staff, Coach Horn took ten potential basketball team members to watch the 49ers basketball team practice. The purpose of the trip was to expose the players to the organization and demands of a college practice, and what it takes to succeed at that level. At the end of the practice, a pizza, wings and dessert buffet was provided to the cadets.

Cadets attending were William Adams, Tyler Cranford, Jalen Dawkins, Dibamshu Ghimire, Brendan Jackson, Collin Kaehler, Ashton Lawrence, Aiden McDonald, Deven McKee and Gage Noel.

During the week of November 4th, JV and Varsity tryouts will be held to set the rosters for the upcoming season which begins on the 6th of December with a home game against the Governor’s School. With the return of six of the top seven players from last year, Coach Horn is looking forward to the season.
