The Excalibur Society Annual Dinner was held on Friday, March 2, 2018 at the historic Springdale Hall Club in Camden, S.C. Camden Military Academy has been hosting this event for 31 years, at which time, donor appreciation is recognized. For the new members, as well as all members, they are recognized in the program and presented a plaque with their names engraved.
Although not all members can attend when the event takes place, appreciation is given to the members who continue their support of CMA by donating $1,000 each year. When the $10,000 Knight Member level is attained, they are automatically lifetime members who receive the invitations. However, there are other levels, $25,000 (Bronze Knight); $50,000 (Silver Knight); and $100,000 (Gold Knight).
Our valet cadets greet guests as they enter the home and are given name tags and asked to pose for a picture, which is later mailed to them. After the five course dinner, they are entertained by the CMA jazz band for a few selections chosen by the director, CWO2 Robert Slade. The battalion commander for the school year, cadet LTC Yohann Offredo, then speaks to the donors about his Camden Experience and the importance of their role to Camden.
CMA welcomes all to join the Excalibur Society. For more information, please contact Glenda Porter or Diane Robinson at the office. Shown below are members of the CMA jazz ensemble during their recent performance.
