Alumni and Development Update
CMA’s Alumni and Development departments are busy preparing for a couple of upcoming events. The Excalibur Society is composed of donors who have contributed a minimum of $1,000 in the fiscal year (which runs from June to May each year) and members whose donations are $10,000 and above (lifetime giving). Invitations have already been mailed to current members, but it is not too late to join the “Society” which gives the donor an invitation to a spectacular 5-course dinner at the exquisite Springdale Hall Club in Camden on March 1, 2013. If interested, please contact Diane Robinson.
Glenda Porter has been mailing out the informational letter to former participants of the annual Headmaster’s Golf Tournament, held at the Camden Country Club. This year’s date is Monday, May 6th, 2013. You can sign up as a sponsor at different levels from $1,000 and above; or you can enter a team for $400, or as an individual for $100.
The Brick Campaign continues and Phase II is currently underway. The first phase of bricks can be seen in the walkway around the Risher Administration. The next walkway of Phase II to be completed will be in front of the Dining Hall. Other options for the future include walkways in front of Band & Staff Company and Alpha Company, as well as Academic Hall. The cost for a brick is $150, and also includes a mini-brick.
The Annual Fund drive continues throughout the year. If you would like to donate, you can mail your check to CMA or you can call in your credit card information.
The Alumni Office is proud to announce that CMA Class of 1976 alumnus, Tony Jones of Rock Hill, has been elected to the position of Family Court Judge by the S.C. General Assembly. Congratulations!
More news is available on the CMA website under the Alumni link under newsletters. The most current issue, The Bugle, has been mailed out to alumni, parents, and friends of CMA. If you haven’t yet received it, you can find it in PDF format, along with past issues (Bugle 2012 Fall Winter) on this link.
