Choosing to send our son to Camden Military Academy was one of the most challenging decisions our family has ever had to make. For starters, it’s nearly 800 miles from home. We love the leadership skills and confidence Logan has gained by being a cadet at CMA these last two years. He’s taking honors classes, has 4.3 GPA, finished 2nd in his class this year, on yearbook staff, ROTC, promotions and enjoys the brotherhood amongst many other things CMA offers. Our son will be a sophomore this upcoming academic year. He transferred to CMA for the second semester of his freshman year. We didn’t know how things would work out for him, but we DID know that he needed a new positive change; and we were hopeful that Camden would provide this new start. It DID. He has really benefited from the structure provided there. He has gone from failing multiple classes at his previous school, to passing all his classes at CMA. It has not been easy. He has admittedly studied harder than he ever has before. Actually, I think he has been able to learn how to truly study for the first time. He has fit in well with his fellow cadets in Band & Staff, demonstrating more poise and maturity. We are confident that he will continue to build on this new foundation established last semester, gaining skills that will be helpful for him as he becomes a productive citizen of our community.

I knew my son needed a change from the traditional public school setting and we had been looking at options for awhile. His grades were dwindling despite our motivation, encouragement and extra tutoring lessons. He had no drive or ambition. After visiting Camden Military Academy we all left there feeling so at ease and knew this was the place for him. He has gained so much self confidence, is excelling in Honors classes, advocating for himself, moving up in rank and exploring opportunities for his future.
