Special Medical Care

Medical care beyond the facilities of the infirmary that could include emergency room visits, prescriptions, medical tests, and medications administered by a doctor. This cost could vary greatly from student to student. We request a deposit to the student's account of $900.00 to cover these costs. Should the costs exceed this amount, an additional deposit will be required. Should the medical expenses during the year total less than this amount, the balance on hand will be applied to the student's account to cover any other charges. If there are no other outstanding charges, the balance on hand will be refunded to the parents. Parents are also required to obtain medical insurance which is enforced within the USA. A supplemental accidental insurance policy is required and included in these fees. A brochure outlining such a policy is enclosed. This company is just one of many which offers such insurance. Camden Military Academy does not recommend one company over another and assumes no responsibility regarding the terms or performance of any such policy.

Forward a check in US funds via a courier service in the amount of $25,325.00. (The application fee of $100.00 would have accompanied the application).

Charges will vary from student to student. The Academy cannot assure parents as to the exact amount of the miscellaneous charges. Should a student exceed these estimates, an additional deposit during the school year may be required. The Academy cannot guarantee that this list is completely inclusive.

Additional Information Regarding Expenses

Tuition: This fee covers instruction, room, board, athletic fees, infirmary care and haircuts. It does not include spending money, books, laundry, dry cleaning, special medical care beyond the facilities of the infirmary, driver's education, flying lessons, diploma fee or willful destruction of property. Parents are billed on a monthly basis for laundry, dry cleaning and extra charges incurred.

If a student does not demonstrate a proficiency in reading and basic mathematics, as determined by testing administered at Camden Military Academy, he will re required to enroll in the Effective Learning Program. There is an additional charge of $200.00 per month for this program.

Financial Obligation

The cost of operating the Academy must be budgeted on an annual basis. For this reason cadets are accepted for the entire school year, and upon entrance a valid and binding contract is in force for the entire school year. In the event of dismissal or withdrawal, the balance of the tuition and other charges, less credits, becomes immediately due and payable. Credit of only $600.00 per month will be given for that portion of the school year the student is not is attendance. Ten optional trips are offered yearly and not included in the above totals. The costs for the trips with spending money totals $3,965.00.
